Got back yesterday boys,....what an amazing experience & trip. Came 20th overall (jetski & kayaks) and 16th out of all the kayakers....Will tell all about it and post a few pics soon as i have a mo,..have 200 emails to go through

It was a great weekend, welldone with your catch.

Not as big as Franco's but it's a specie. I will just have to work on the weight. Caught while paddling the breede and seeing a smash 20 m in front of us and putting my halco roosta popper in the right place.

Couple of the lads and a newbie (Ben) hit the water.
Water looked ok,, but temp 16.4deg (brrrr),too sudden change in temp so expected it to be dead. Couple of small elf caught but thrown back.

Please please send the fish lord, it has been too long again.

Had a good session (at last), myself Franco / Shelfish went out today.

Seas where high and full moon to boot so tide came in strong. Grant paddles from Melkbaai to "Gaaitjie" hoping for some "tail" while Frank and myself nailed a few edibles. Hatched 6 fish in total, biggest being the geelbeck of about 2.5Kg, smallest 1.5KG.

All caught on elf bait.

Flling tide yesterday, pilchard, Strand Reef, temp 20. (As usual was into the fish first!!, gave the rest of us a

Went out the strand yesterday morning, Grant joined me later, conditions looked great but the fish a bit shy, was out for around 3.5 hours. Landed 4 Smoothies, flip, biggest being around 20KG!(Almost got knocked off my ski trying to get the hook out)

CameOut was 1 x Cob(1.8KG), Geelbeck (Size), 2 x Elf, lost 2 good fish. All in all a good day.

Lesson: when fishing with braid be very carefull handling a large fish, if the braid wraps itself around your hand or the braid is pushing down on any part of your body when that fish decides its going back into the drink it will strip line off your reel again and cut whatever skin its pushing into like butter. I fortunately managed find this out without injury (this time)
