Sunday at buffels was amazing as always, many snoek coming out and the boys doing well. Some familiar faces, seven of us out doing our thing. Well done to those that caught and made the effort.

Amazing, you never stop learning tips and tricks. Snoek where skittish and buggers to catch until we removed bite trace and sinkers and just drifted through the water column. Huge shoals of maasbunker around which could also be used as live bait

Report of my fishing experiences from lately: Was out with some friends about 2 weeks ago throwing from the side, and as always nothing, nada, niks, blank showed them the reason why I purchased a kayak he he he.


Yesterday went out with a friend on a duck in G/bay area and caught only sea barbels and got stung eina…….. f*&^&*&$%^$%^$%k ….but I am ok…Well still was awesome to get out fishing.

I should have gone snoek fishing off Millers dammmm.

Hi thanks. Yes am aware of the "no go areas". There are some visible beacons. No fishing from Castle rock to Partridge point. Wouldn't like to be on the wrong side of the law. Conservation is also high on my agenda. Greetings. John

Just be carefull. There are nature reserves around millers. You need to know where to fish otherwise you can be in big trouble.

Hi well it seems no one has been out there but me. False bay was like a mirror, an awsome day. Took a drive to Millers and saw some commeercial guys out in the deep. Snoek was poor one every 15 minutes or so. My luck was not there so paddled into the shallows and got two great size red roman, 36 and 39 cm. Hope to at least meet some of the guys out there someday. Hi guys was out at Millers late this morning, just for a paddle and some light tackle fun. Got some nice size Bronze bream (hottentot). Kept 2 for the pot. Water was flat and clean inshore, came accross large shoals of harder. That's it for the weekend, back to the grindstone tomorrow. John

Yeah hopefully see ya soon. Calds - that GT took around 20 min to land,... thats a KG/minute!! The biggest GT for the comp was 44KG off the ski by Marcus Potgieter -HUGE RESPECT! Not just the fish you fight but also the current which some call the "paindane express", which runs at around 3 nots at times! This combined with an Easterly wind(same direction as current),....you can just imagine, .....def helps seperate the kings . This year because of this the Jet Skis def had the upper hand but 1st place Marcus Potgieter and closely behind Brad Arthur, kayaks took it again irrespective. Marcus - 10 Species all over 4KG over 3 days! Impressive, reallY!!
