good to know... when we left Blake for Melkbaai at approx 19:00 there was only 1 boat in front of greenways and 1 in the poortjie.

I met the guys who caught the geelbek when they were launching last night. They confirmed catching some geelbek and cob Tuesday evening. They were launching from right in front of the Hotel, next to Greenways, at the end of beach rd. Small boat called 'Lucky'. There were also two paddle-powered Ark's in the water at the same spot, as well as a couple of boats at poortjie.

I have heard of the guys launching at Harbour Island, but these guys are tennants and therefore they just launch off the moorings.

As for the guys killing the geelbek, there were only 2 boats out on Tuesday night. 1 at Harmony and 1 at the Poortjiie.

If this is true, how legal is it to launch at Harbour Island, because that should be the closest?

No news coming out of strand... Launched last night to kill time. (wrong tide, temp and wind)...
Nothing came out besides the a 2m Bronzie and some lost streepies.

I managed to take out 2 x 2kg Cob Strand yesterday evening sunset, Franco also managed 2 and lost 2 biggies in the reef (cutoff) on his light tackle.

Also caught and released one elf and geelbeck which where undersize!

All in all was fun!

went for a run to past harmony, 5kG Kob came out from off the pier evening around 18h30, beautifull specimen. May well be good the evening. 5:36pm is high

quite keen to check out the harmony reefs if not melkies or even blakes.

I will be doing a clinic which should finish up by sunset, so will try and get an hour after sunset in at balkes, hopefully there are some elf around or a couple of smoothies to keep us busy (catch and release), possibly even a cob/geelbeck or two. Only thing is will be low tide!

Wind too hectik! Decided to eat meat and have a cold one instead! Strand looking good for the morning but then again so is Buffels?

SHelfish and myself going out this evening at Melkbaai, tide will be coming in (high at around 8pm), swell not too bad but will be getting much bigger throughout the day so not recomended for newbies or if waves are not your cup of tea just yet. Wind will be up a little as well but hopefully not too bad.

Need to break this bad run (not one edible(size) fish for 2010 as Yet)
