...pilchards and Chokka is the business. beat the pilchard into the chokka or just chum a bit with the pilchard and use strip chokka bait. When the fish are scarse you need to lead the ones that are around and hungry to your chokka and no better way than pilchard chum, crush one pilchard into fine fine mush next to the yak, do this every 10 min or so.
Saterday expedition
We were out Saterday morning at Strand. Caught alot of undersize shad. was still fun though water was awesome and no wind. Cant wait for the first take home fish....
What methods should we use for this time of the year Sean?

Re: Most Recent Catches "lips Ripped"
Thanks for the update Werny!
Guys please cut your teeth in your local calm waters before taking on unfamiliar spots where weather predictions change in a heart beat. you need to know what wind you can handle and your limits. Get fit practice practice practice!! Lets not have anyone getting into trouble and the sport taking a knock. We are all wanting this to be unmanaged without people with authority having to get involved and mess things up with new laws and permits licenses and more fees, lets try and keep it free spirited and flippen enjoyable
Anyway to give you guys some feedback. Struis was good, with a lot of small undersized and just size being caught. few elf came out on the plaat yesterday late morning but also undersize. Weather was not what was predicted Sunday but all in all was good fun. Believe the fishing in Strand also very slow the long Weekend.
Enjoy the short Week chaps, we'll be fishing soon again
